In the end, President Li made a summary speech to fully affirm the work having been done in the five departments and four schools concerned, and raised his claim to the next step of work, stressing that it was high time we rethought our work of the last five years because there were some expectation indexes in our “12th five year” plan not fulfilled, while during the following five years, we were likely to confront new challenges and new opportunities as well, which demanded us to do more solid work adhering to people-centered education. He also reaffirmed the goal of HUST to rank among China’s high-leveled teaching and researching universities by 2020.
It was on July 18 that HUST started her “13th five year ” planning work and since then all sections in HUST began to promote this job actively by carrying out various studies, investigations and discussions, etc.
