On September 20, the 8thChemistry Conference of Heilongjiang Province was held in the lecture hall of the Northeast Forestry University. Hosted by Professor Li Bin, Vice President of the Northeast Forestry University, the conference was attended by Professor Yan Pengfei, Vice President of Heilongjiang University, Professor Deng Qigang, Vice President of Qiqihar University, Professor Li Yingjie, Vice President of Qiqihar University, Mr. Song Guoguang, Head of Association for Science and Society of Heilongjiang Province and other representatives from the Chemistry Societies of colleges, enterprises and institutions in Heilongjiang province.
At the conference, Mr. Song Guoguang delivered a speech on how to convert the governmental functions, how to carry out the work of the Chemistry Society, how to strengthen its functions and how to enhance its influence. On behalf of the last Board of Directors, Research Associate Bai Xuefeng, Chairman of the 7thChemistry Conference and Director of Petroleum Chemistry Research Institute of Heilongjiang Academy of Sciences, summarized the job of the Board of Directors of the 7thChemistry Conference of Heilongjiang Province. Professor Han Xijiang, Doctoral Supervisor of Chemistry Department of Harbin Institute of Technology, Head of Science and Technology Group and Deputy County Executive of Rudong, Jiangsu province, made an introduction to intelligence-introducing program and the related policies. What he said on the conference will surely provide a useful reference for serving the society with scientific knowledge better
At this conference, a new committee of Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary-General, Executive Director and Councilor was formed. Research Associate Bai Xuefeng, Director of Petroleum Chemistry Research Institute of Heilongjiang Academy of Sciences, was elected Chairman. Professor Liu Bo, Ex-Dean of School of Chemistry and Environmental Engineering of HUST was elected Honorary Chairman and Professor Sun Xiaojun, Dean of School of Chemistry and Environmental Engineering of HUST, was elected Vice Chairman and Executive Director. Another 6 leading teachers from HUST were elected Executive Directors and Councilors respectively.
Ended successfully, this conference will certainly provide an effective platform for the Chemistry Society to better serve the local economy and do contributions to the 13thFive-Year Plan of Heilongjiang Province.
