On Oct. 10, theSchoolofForeign Languagesheld a ceremony for Ben Ye who was going to interpret for the 9thmedical team to aidLiberia. Vice Dean of Graduate School Duan Hongwei, Counselor Office teacher Yan Tingliang, all the leaders of Foreign Languages School, student representatives attended the ceremony, hosted by Vice General Secretary of Foreign Languages School Zhou Xiaoli.
Initially, directory of Foreign Languages School Jiang Yufeng addressed the ceremony and conveyed the greeting from the leaders of HUST. He praised highly of Ben Ye’s volunteerism. He hoped that Ben Ye would win credit forForeignLanguagesSchool, HUST andChina.
On behalf of theGraduateSchool, Duan Hongli congratulatedForeignLanguagesSchoolfor cultivating such excellent student. He wished her a smooth journey and great progress in the future. Ben Ye’s supervisor Pang Baokun, counselor Xiang Zheng and Vice Dean of English Department Ma Yanhui delivered speech consecutively. General Secretary of Foreign Languages School Gao Xiujiang extended best regards from Vice General Secretary of HUST Lu Yan to Ben Ye. Lu Yan was proud for Ben Ye’s volunteerism and hoped that she could win credit both for HUST andChina.
Ben Ye expressed her gratitude to teachers. She stressed that to become a volunteer to aidAfricais inseparable from the cultivation of HUST.
