From Nov. 23rdto Nov. 25th, the 2015 World Robot Conference hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China Association for Science and Technology and Beijing Municipal People’s Government, was held in Beijing National Convention Center. The Chairman of People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping wrote the congratulation letter to the opening ceremony, and Prime Minister of State Council of China, Li Keqiang expressed his congratulations. Vice Chairman of People’s Republic of China Li Yuanchao, vice Prime Minister of State Council of China Liu Yandong, Vice Chairman of CPPCC Han Qide, the director of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Miao Wei attended the conference. More than 200 experts from over 10 counties , 12 international robot organizations, 209 worldwide enterprises and 58 domestic research organization attended this World Robot Conference.
Medical Assisted Walking Rehabilitation Robot which is developed by the scientific team led by Zhang Tiejun from Software College in HUST and Heilongjiang Liaoyuan Technology Development Co., Ltd. , is the brightest spot in this conference. It aroused much attention and is greatly appreciated by scientific research institutes, and in the meanwhile, it is reported by more than 10 mainstream media, such as CCTV-2, People Net and Phoenix Net. The scientific team had the deep technological communication with the famous experts from Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Tian Jin University.
The successful research of this project is the result of emphasizing the growth of the young teachers and the cultivation of the students. The Software College pays attention to the combination of teaching, learning and researching. Therefore, the teachers’ scientific research ability has been improved and the students’ software technology development ability has also been enhanced. The software college will continue to improve the quality of students’ practical ability.
