The 12th MOS Competition 2016 was held from May 13th to May 15th in Beijing, jointly organized by Microsoft, Pearson and CERNET, undertaken by CERNET campus pioneer. On May 12th, four excellent students from HUST Rongcheng Campus led by Professor Chen Feng went to Beijing to participate the final competition.

MOS competition mainly tests the practical operation ability of WORD, EXCEL and POWERPOINT. The competition involves six subjects according to the two versions: Office 2010 and Office 2013. MOS competition lasts five months, and more than 10,000 candidates took part in the preliminary contest, from whom 205 candidates were promoted to the national finals. The organizing committee invited He Liang, the MOS certificate professional, as the judge.

The national finals involve two rounds. Led by Professor Chen, four students in Rongcheng Campus tried their best to overcome the difficulties. After three days’ fierce competition, the delegation from Rongcheng College won the Group First Prize, Professor Chen Feng won the Special Instructor Award, Chen Xiaoliang won the National Champion in the group WORD 2010, Han Yetong won the third prize in the group PPT 2010 and the first prize in the group WORD 2010, Liu Jianfeng won the first prize in the group PPT2010 and second prize in group WORD 2010, Zhao Haoning won the second prize in PPT and third prize in WORD. In addition, Chen Xiaoliang will be the representative to participate the MOS World Competition in Auckland Disneyland in Florid in the USA.
