On Apr. 27, the Director of Nuclear Issue Institute in Belarusian State University, Prof. Sergey Maximishin and the supervisor of Nano magnetic laboratory Doctor Rena Jill visited HUST.
President Li Dayong and Vice President Fang Wenbin met the visiting experts in the second conference room. Li expressed his warm welcome towards the experts and introduced the faculty attended the meeting. Li and the experts reviewed the history of the cooperation between two universities, pointing out that cooperation should be further enhanced based on the friendly relation and excellent cooperation.
Sergey Maximishin expressed his greetings to Li Dayong and the faculty and students in HUST. He intended to determine the specific plan of the future cooperation.The future cooperation is supposed to be based on program cooperation and staff exchange. If it were requested, experts in the Institute would conduct serial academic activities on the interaction of electromagnetic wave in HUST, which would benefit the research on carbon nano-material between two universities. Maximishin expressed their determination to contribute to the cooperation between the two universities.
Subsequently, Maximishin and the director of the academic research department Yu Xiaoyang signed the memorandum on Joint Carbon Nano Material Research and Teaching Lab between HUST and Belarusian State University.
The faculty attending the meeting include academic research department director Yu Xiaoyang, international cooperation and communication department director Xi Zhaohui, academic research department vice director Zhang Hui, international cooperation and communication department vice director Shao Yang, material science and engineering school prof. Wang Yongliang, applied science school Liu Gang and international cooperation and communication department Yi Tian.
