International Institute of Culture and Education held the fifth Foreign Students’ Fun Sports Meet at the stadium of our south campus on Oct 18th, 2011. All the international students from Korea, Japan and Russia and the teachers and students majoring in Chinese as a foreign language attended this event. All the participants were divided into six groups, attending six kinds of competition such as relay race, rope skipping, shuttlecock kicking, etc. The students both at home and abroad compete together, showing their sports skill and sincere friendship.
After the sports meet, many international students said this event provided them with an opportunity to meet new friends and to practice Chinese. A Chinese student said this meeting promoted a sense of cooperation and team spirit, and encouraged the communication among the students and teachers. All the members involved enjoyed the happy process.
International Institute of Culture and Education pays special attention to developing students’ leisure activities. Fun sports meet as its specialty has been held for five years. The meeting improves their physical fitness as well as harmonious atmosphere.
