On Oct. 18^th, after two days’ intensive competition the first basic teaching skills competition of young college teachers was successfully completed in Harbin University of Science and Technology. This competition is sponsored by the College Working Committee, the Education Department and the Education Union of Heilongjiang Province, undertaken by the HUST College Union. Yang Chun, HUST Union Chairman, attended the closing and award ceremony.

Liu Zhuofu and Luo Laizhen, young teachers from our university, won the first and the second prize in the science and engineering group. Pang Baokun and Wang Shurui, young teachers from our university, won the second and the third prize in the group of English. The teaching plan written by Liu Zhuofu won the best teaching plan prize. Professor Yu Xiaoyang won the best Tutor prize.

Our university has been highly praised as the Excellent organizational units. This competition has gained concerted effort and strongly support from many departments, which fully displayed the rigorous and serious, plain and enthusiastic, well ordered working style has been highly approved by the competition committee and all the other participating colleges.
