From June 16thto 21th,Football Pep Team Competition of the National Finals in 2013 wasco-hosted by heFederation ofUniversitySportsof China andChineseFootballAssociation, andco-organized by Xtep (China) Ltd. and the Artistic Gymnastics Branch ofFederation ofUniversitySports at Hubei University in Wuhan.Bingling 4 ℃ of our university and other 7 teams shortlisted in the final competition to compete for the national champion.
At June 20th, the first match began and the match was divided into five rounds. The competitions were performed both optional exercise and compulsory exercise. The first three rounds were elimination tournaments. AndBingling 4 ℃ advanced to the first ranking with stable performance. Huadong Normal University, Xihua University, Hubei Normal University and Shanxi Changzhi college which once attended the International Cheer Leading Championship were eliminated in the this three rounds, but other teams performed well in the 4thround (compulsory exercise). Bingling 4 ℃ ranked the third and played against Beijing Sport University in the PK competition. Then they got the qualification for the championship game. In the final round, Bingling 4 ℃ won the highest score with perfect performance and met Hunan Normal University in the final.
At the evening of June 21th, the whole audience witnessed the production of two champions of football match and pep teamcompetition together. Bingling 4 ℃ won the national total champion with the score 286.5.The chief coach Su Li got the Best Coach Award of this time, and the cheerleader Wang Xue won the Sportsman Award and signed the contract with Xtep as its image ambassador from 2013 to 2014.
After the competition, Tencent, Sina and other Internet medias, CCTV5, Hubei TV and other television medias covered the competition. CCTV5 interviewed their cheerleader Wang Xue and would broadcast on the evening of July 4th. At the meanwhile, famous entertainment column of Hunan TV “Day Day Up” invited the team to Changsha to record programme which would be broadcast recently.
