On Dec. 9, the 2012 BN Charity Dinner jointly-hosted by CYDF (China Youth Development Foundation), BNVS (Bainian vocational school), Council and Beijing Century Wall Culture and Art Co., Ltd., was held in the Shangri-La Kerry Centre Hotel, Beijing.

As one of the six winners of young artist special contribution award set by CYDF and the magazineARTBANKthis year, Liu Hongxun, a HUST teacher from the art department of Rongcheng Campus, attended the dinner.

Hosted by Zhu Xun and Cao Qitai from CCTV, the dinner attracted a lot of Celebrities including Gary Locke, the US ambassador to China, Declan Kelleher, the Ireland ambassador to China, Xie Guozhong, famous Chinese economist, etc. moreover, as a Charity Dinner, it was attended by community caring people from all walks of life and themed as fund raising to subsidized children of rural migrant workers to complete their studies. More than RMB￥2,300 was donated on it, including the donation from auction of Liu’s painting,The Glory of Life.

“The dinner is a good occasion to enhance HUST’s popularity, and stimulate our students’ confidence and motive to study well,” Liu concluded.
