Invited by Panos Liatsis, the Dean of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering College in City University of London, six-person delegation led by Yu Xiaoyang, the president of Measurement and Communication Engineering College from Harbin University of Science and Technology visited the City University of London from Oct. 8^thto Oct.10^th.

During the visiting period, our delegation and the professors from City University of London communicated deeply from many aspects, ranging from curriculum, teaching staff, scientific research direction and the cultivation of the undergraduates, postgraduates and doctors.

Professor Sanowar Khan who is the vice-president of Engineering and Mathematical College, Professor Nicos Karcanias who is the dean of postgraduate project, professor Sun Tong who is the dean of Communicating Engineering, professor Panicos Kyriacou who is in charge of the scientific projects, and Mrs. Yue Xiaoli met the delegation. The two parties exchanged the scientific and research direction, laying foundation for the future cooperation.

On the afternoon of Dec. 9^th, the delegation attended the class of Doctor Arti Agrawal, further understanding the teaching method, teaching requirements and arrangement of the City University of London.

Our university sent 6 students to study in the City University of London in 2013. On the afternoon of Dec. 9^th, the delegation had an interview with these six students.

During the visiting period, the delegation visited the electrical and electronic laboratory and knew the teaching arrangements and requirements better.

In order to have a deeper understanding about the curriculum and teaching & scientific situation, Li Jizheng, who is the vice-dean of communication engineering will stay on in City University of London for the end of this year.

The delegation includes Professor Song Qingqun who is the deputy director of Dean’s Office, Professor Fan Jianying who is the vice president of College of Measurement and Control Technology and Communication Engineering, Professor Yang Mingji who is the dean of Department of Communication Engineering, Li Jizheng who is the vice dean of Department of Communication Engineering and Shao Yang from Department of International Cooperation and Exchange.
