The 2014 National College Outstanding Counselor Blog Selection was held inBeijing. Those who attend the conference are Feng Gang who is the director of Ideological and Political Department in Ministry of Education, Wang Guangyan who is the deputy director, Song Yonggang who is the director of Online Development Center of Chinese College Students in Ministry of Education and some other experts in ideological and political field. At the conference, 100 excellent blog articles awards, 10 excellent blog awards and 10 excellent blog nomination awards are selected. There are three Excellent Blog Articles Awards won by our university counselors who are Li Li from Management School, Wu Changming from Measurement and Communication School and Ren Jiawei from Reserve Officer School.

NationalCollegeOutstanding Counselor Blog Selection is directed by Ideological and Political Department in Ministry of Education and held by Online Development Center of Chinese College Students. It is the fourth time since 2011. The purpose of this competition is to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the Eighteenth National Congress of the CPC and the Third Plenary Session of the Eighteenth Central Committee of the CPC, actively cultivate and practice the socialist core values. This competition begins in June, 2014. 332 colleges and universities from 31 provinces take part in the activity, and 2,204 counselors submit 15,123 blog articles.

Our university is always taking counselor’s blog as an important way to guide thought and requiring counselors to improve the ability of applying new media. There are six blog articles awards since the beginning of the competition, which account for 42% inHeiLongjiangProvince. Our university shall continue to improve the counselors’ ability to contribute to the development of students and university.
