Recently, theHeilongjiangCivil Affairs Departmentreleased the“2022 Provincial Social Organization Grading Evaluation Results”in which our university’s Education Development Foundation was awarded the highest rating of“5A”On August 23, the Civil Affairs Department presented the plaque to our university’s Education Development Foundation.
Established in October 2010, our university’s Education Development Foundation is a non-publicly funded foundation that accepts donations from various sectors of society. With the aim of promoting the development of educational initiatives atHUST, the foundation has played an important role in talent cultivation, faculty development, discipline construction, academic exchange, campus development, and social welfare. Since its establishment, the foundation has been entitled to multiple rounds of pre-tax deductibility and tax-exempt status for non-profit organizations, and was recognized as a charitable organization in 2017.
The social organization grading evaluation is a measure implemented by the civil affairs department to supervise and manage social organizations,making suretheir healthy development. It involves an objective, comprehensive evaluation of social organizations’basic conditions, internal governance, work performance, and social assessments in line with specified methods and procedures, by evaluation agencies based onspecificcriteria. The evaluation grades range from 1A to 5A, with 3A and above being eligible for pre-tax deductibility.
Taking the opportunity of being rated as a“5A-level social organization”our university’s Education Development Foundation will continue to enhance its management capabilities, further improve service quality, and unite forces from various sectors of society to contribute to the university’s“Double First-Class”construction and the better development of the educational cause.
