The university successfully held a large-scale job fair for 2023 graduates

In order to seize the critical period of spring recruitment, make every effort to promote employment, we managed to build a communication platform between graduates and enterprises. On March 28, the university successfully held a job fair for graduates of science and engineering majors in Heilongjiang Province at the West Campus Gymnasium. This the largest on-site job fair held by our university in the past three years. Liu Zhida, director of the College Student Division of the Provincial Department of Education, Cui Zhiwei, first-level researcher, Guo Chengzhe, director of the Provincial College Student Employment and Entrepreneurship Guidance Center, and Feng Yunan, secretary, attended the job fair. Zhao Lin, secretary of the school's party committee, and Guo Jiali, deputy secretary of the party committee, attended the venue in person, and had in-depth exchanges with employers and graduates.

Since the release of the invitation letter for this job fair, a total of 314 employers have responded. According to the requirements of the nature of the company, we strictly reviewed and one-by-one matched relevant companies, and finally 217 companies from 21 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) participated in the job fair, providing a total of 15,423 job opportunities. Human resources departments from Harbin, Xiamen, Lianyungang, Yantai and other cities participated in the job fair in the form of recruitment groups. Nearly 70% of the employers are from the equipment manufacturing industry, as well as the industry of construction, information transmission, software and information technology services, scientific research and technical services, heat, gas and water production and supply, all employers mainly recruit graduates of science and engineering majors, and their recruitment demands cover undergraduate, master, and doctoral degrees. More than 12,000 students participated in the job fair, and more than 8,700 resumes were delivered.

This job fair also set up a special area for local employment, encouraging graduates to stay in Heilongjiang for employment and entrepreneurship, make their efforts in Heilongjiang revitalization. Local employers accounted for nearly 30%, a total of 62 companies, including 59 companies in Harbin. Our university gives full play to the role of the leading unit of employment cooperation among colleges and universities of science and technology in the province, we invite teachers and students from many colleges and universities of science and technology in the province, such as Northeast Petroleum University, Heilongjiang Bayi Agricultural University, and Heilongjiang Institute of Technology, to participate in the job fair for the sharing of employment resources.

The secretaries, directors, deputy secretaries of the party committee, heads of disciplines, employment officers, and counselors of the graduates all attend the job fair to recommend graduates, invite employers to hold their special presentations, and make connection with employers in an accurate and in-depth manner. 17 employment service stations have been set up in this job fair, providing various services for students, including interview arrangement, contract signing, policy explanation, materials provision, college service, etc. Teachers from the career development and employment guidance sector and other school staff provide one-stop service for graduates including job recommendation, on-site contract signing, resume guidance, interview consultation, health protection, etc. Additionally, there are more than 100 student volunteers from the university's Youth Volunteer Association and other schools available to provide warm services to both students and employers at any time.

It is reported that since the start of the spring campus recruitment for 2023 graduates, under the principle of "small but refined, specialized and excellent" we have carried out 172 special recruitment seminars and 11 large and medium-sized job fairs, a total of 625 companies entered our university for recruitment, providing nearly 50,000 job opportunities. In the next step, we will continue to put campus recruitment as the main channel of employment, deeply carry out the action of "visiting enterprises to expand job opportunities and promote employment", extensively develop employment channels and jobs, establish a number of stable and high-quality employment bases, and actively carry out employment thematic education, implement detailed employment guidance and employment assistance, make every effort to promote high quality employment for 2023 graduates.
