On August 28th,allundergraduateacceptance lettersin 2022havebeensent out, which marked the successfulcompletionof online undergraduateadmission in 2022. This year, our general undergraduate enrollment plan covered 31 provinces (cities, districts) . Under the leadership of the undergraduate enrollment committee, since July 10th, a total of 6,519 undergraduate students, 288 students upgrading from junior college, and 79 preparatory studentsofethnic minorities in Heilongjiang and Xinjiang have been admitted. Among theregularundergraduates, 4,824 students were admitted to the main campus and 1,695 studentswere admitted to Rongchengcampus; 4,456 students were admitted to science and technology, 224 to literature and history, 1689 to comprehensive reform and 150 to art.Withthe joint efforts of the whole school, the lowest admission ranking of the first batch of science and technology students in Heilongjiang province has increased by more than 1,000 places compared with that of 2021, and the average admission ranking of all science and engineering majors has increased to different degrees. The number of majors with the top 20,000 admission ranking has increased from 7 in 2021 to 12.
The undergraduate enrollment was officially launched in early March this year. In the 2022 enrollment season, the enrollment publicity, whichlastednearly 4 months,was mainly conducted through live webcast and online publicity. A series of 84 live broadcasts were held successively, with a cumulative audience of more than 346,000. Through live webcast, students and parents were shown the characteristics ofHUST, the enrollment policy wasexplained, and the questions of students and parents were answered online.The enrollment consultation was carried out by telephone and network, among which the intelligent question-and-answer system of “Enrollment E-Answer” provided 64,780 services for 18,536 students/parents, and the enrollment consultation hotline received more than 21,700 calls.Online admissions further optimized the workflow and strict approval procedures to ensure that the recruitment work was orderlystandardized, and the enrollment information was open and transparent.
The school leaders attached great importance to the whole process of enrollment. During this period, they listened tomultiplereports on the preparation and progress of enrollment, put forward relevant requirements and guidelines on the admissions work plan, implementation and promotion mechanism of enrollment, andvisitedthe online admission site to learn more about the enrollment batch setting, enrollment progress and the students sources.The whole admissions work, guided by a sense of responsibility for the school and the candidates,should be fair, just, open, and the legitimate rights and interests of the majority of candidates and schools should be protected.
