On April 26 and 27, Vice President Meng Dawei inspected Rongcheng College, the leaders of which accompanied him.
During the inspection, members of Standing Committee of Party Committee of HUST, President Assistant and Director of Rongcheng College Zhang Su, and Secretary of Branch Party Committee of Rongcheng College Shi Zhensen reported the current development and building situation of Rongcheng College specifically to Vice President Meng Dawei, who then visited the library, main teaching building, catering center, computer room, playground and laboratories, and gave full affirmation and appreciation for the overall building situation of the basic infrastructure of the college.
On the afternoon of April 26, a teacher-forum was held in the lecture hall on the 2ndfloor of office building and was attended by Vice President Meng Dawei, Vice Director of Rongcheng College Chen Guanghai, Li Quanli and deans of other departments. A heated discussion concerning applied talent cultivation of Rongcheng College, “Excellent Engineer Cultivation Plan” as well as other issues was conducted in the forum.
Vice Director of Rongcheng College Chen Guanghai and Vice Director of Rongcheng College Li Quanli gave a report to Vice President Meng concerning teaching work and building and scientific research of experiment and training base respectively.
In the meeting, Vice President Meng said that Rongcheng College should accelerate the speed of development to implement the multi-aspected and multi-leveled cooperation projects between the college and enterprises, attracting social forces, focusing on the drawing-up of the cultivation plan and reform of teaching approach with the emphasis on applied talent cultivation to run the school having unique characteristics and high level, and Vice President Meng expressed sincere regards to all the teachers and staff of Rongcheng College as well.
