Harbin University of Science and Technology held the commencement ceremony at which academic degrees were conferred for the 2011 grade postgraduates at 2 o’clock, April 11that the Academic Report Hall in the No. 1 Building on the West Campus. University leaders who were present in the ceremony were Party Secretary Gao Jun, President Li Dayong, Deputy Secretary of the Party and Secretary of Committee for Discipline Inspection Du Guangchun, Vice President Zhao Hong, Wu Junfeng, Meng Dawei and Wei Xinlao, Deputy Party Secretary Lu Yan, Vice President Meng Shangjiu and Guo Erjun, etc. Members of Evaluation Committee of Academic Degree, representatives of postgraduate instructors, all postgraduate counselors, all the graduates of master degree and doctor degree and part of the university students took part in the ceremony, which was hosted by the vice president Zhao Hong.
Vice President Wu Junfeng read out the Notice of 750 Postgraduates and 9 Doctors in 2011 Grade. Vice President Meng Dawei read out the Decision of Conferring the Degrees for 750 Postgraduates and 9 Doctors. Vice President Wei Xinlao read out the Notice of Announcing the Excellent Postgraduates of 2011 Grade. Deputy Party Secretary Lu Yan read out the Decision of Rewarding the Advanced Individuals in the Scientific Activities.
Representatives of postgraduates and instructors spoke at the ceremony, and President Li Dayong made the excellent speech, wishing all the postgraduates a bright future. He proposed four wishes for all the postgraduates: wishing them to be a useful person in their future career, wishing them to be a qualified HUST person, wishing them to contribute to the development of the country and wishing them to seek the success of the career and the happiness of the life.
After the ceremony, the university leaders, themembers of Evaluation Committee of Academic Degree, representatives of the postgraduate instructors took the photos in front of the No. 1 building on the western campus.
