On April 20, President Li Dayong, who was at Wuhan attending a special session on university president cultivation sponsored by the Ministry of Education of Heilongjiang province, came to the headquarters of Hubei Alumni Association to convey the solicitude and greetings on behalf of HUST, their dear Alma Mater thousands miles away.
The members of Hubei Alumni Association, including Yang Youping and Fu Shuan, the chairman and the secretary general of the Association, welcomed President Li. An informal discussion was held on that very evening for President Li to communicate on all important issues of HUST and her alumni working in Hubei.
President Li was quite happy to know the remarkable progress made by the Association and her members, and wished there would be more and more Hubei alumni visiting HUST in the near future.
Greatly encouraged by the resplendence of Alma Mater’s recent development and the general planning, all alumni attended the discussion expressed their appreciation for President Li’s visit and they would like to work harder and better to live up to the expectations of HUST leaders and alumni.
