From April 14 to 15, the 2011’s Chinese Higher Educational Informationization Innovation Forum & the 12thFive-Year Plan for Digital Campus Construction Symposia was held in USTC, Hefei. On behalf of our university, Professor Lu Yan, Vice Party Secretary of HUST CPC Committee, and Sun Mingsong, director of HUST Network Information Center, attended the meeting.
Sponsored by Science and Technology Development Center, MOE (Ministry of Education) and the periodical office ofChina Education Network, the meeting is aimed at the implementation of “National Medium & long-term Educational Reform and Development Project Summary (2010-2020)”,promoting the integration of information technology and higher education, and speeding the progress of educational informationization nationwide.
At the forum, Ms Chen Yinghui, deputy director ofTechnology Division,MOE, delivered aspecial report titled “Plans to PromoteEducational Informationizationin the Next Stage”, in which all important policies issued by State on China’s educational informationization were illustrated in great details.
Over 400 representatives, including those who are in charge of educational informationization execution for China’s educational institutions of all levels, as well as those from some IT enterprises, attended this forum & symposia.
As the executives of HUST informationization, Lu and Sun had a deep communication with all representatives from other universities on various kinds of higher educational informationization issues, esp. the 12th Five Year Plan for Digital Campus Construction, during the meeting time.
“From the meeting, we learned a lot of valuable experiences from other universities on informationization, and HUST will apply them to the task of implementing our 12th Five Year Plan for Digital Campus Construction so as to contribute more to Chinese higher educational informationization innovation,” Secretary Lu said confidently.
