From November 12 to November 17, 2011, Eleventh Asian Foundry Congress and the Twelfth National Annual Meeting of China casting 2011 Week held in Guangzhou, President Li Dayong as a professor at the National Institute of foundry eighth board standing director and casting equipment and Technology Committee to attend relevant meetings and activities, and during this meeting was elected National Institute of foundry the ninth session of council vice director.
The National Institute of foundry——“Foundry Institution of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (FICMES)”, the group was founded in 1962, has 14 technical committees and 8 working committee, the member units respectively, from domestic and foreign casting enterprise, University and scientific research institutes. In 1978 FICMES become the world’s casting organization of member units, is the largest and oldest professional branch among 33 branches of the Chinese mechanical engineering association. Professor Li Dayong has always engaged in materials processing fast detection and automatic control technology and industrial health monitoring technology research and teaching work in casting and achieved fruitful results in alloy smelting, casting preparation process for rapid detection and castings quality evaluation and other technical fields. This election has been fully affirmed the Professor Li Dayong’s achievement and contribution in the professional field which is essential to our school’s materials science and engineering science development and the expansion of our school’s visibility and academic influence.
The Eleventh Asian Foundry Congress and the first session of the Twelfth National Annual Meeting of China casting 2011 week is foundry industry integrated display platform that build by Foundry Institution of Chinese mechanical engineering society. Among them, the Eleventh Asian Foundry Congress is a worldwide academic conference, were received nearly 100 papers from nearly 20 countries and regions of the United States, Japan, Germany, Holland, Turkey, Canada, Belgium, India, Pakistan, Korea, Vietnam, attendance of more than 200 people. Congress organizing committee invites Professor Li Dayong as chairman of the forum of technology, presided over the forum of iron and steel. National Foundry annual meeting and China Foundry China Foundry Industry Week is the traditional “Festival”. The first session of the Twelfth National Annual Meeting of China casting 2011 week and Eleventh Asian Foundry Congress over the same period, hold together and which is a historic event of China foundry industry. During the activity it undertook a series of high level academic and technical exchanges, and organized a series of new technology, new materials display and industry activity.
