HUST Teachers Win Awards in 7th FLTRP Star Teacher Contest

The 7th FLTRP Star Teacher Contest in Heilongjiang Province was held in Harbin Institute of Technology on May 28th, 2016. Our young teachers Liu Yang and Lang Fei from the School of Foreign Languages performed excellently, and won the first and third prizes in Listening & Speaking group and Comprehensive group respectively.

As the highest level of university teaching contest, this competition is organized elaborately on the principle of openness and fairness. This competition is classified into three stages, preliminary, quarter-final and final, and two groups, listening & speaking group and comprehensive group. Twenty-seven teachers were selected from 72 teachers of different 36 universities, attending the quarter-final round. Liu Yang and Lang Fei performed well in the quarter-final, entering the final.

Liu Yang and Lang Fei received great support from the leaders and their colleagues. The achievement of this contest is the recognition for our foreign language teaching from the experts. The teachers from the School of Foreign Languages have confidence and ability to win more awards in the later teaching contests.
