In 2006, our university has one discipline groups, three First-Level disciplines and eleven second-level disciplines in “Eleven Five-Year Plan” Key Provincial Discipline. After five-year development, each subject has made gratifying achievements in subject construction, talent training, team construction, scientific research, construction and social service.

The review of “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” Provincial Key Discipline lasted nearly six months from university application to provincial evaluation. The presidents of HUST attach great importance, and each school actively prepares materials. Discipline Construction Office and other relevant departments communicate and coordinate with united strength. The approval of these 10 First-Level disciplines represents the new challenge and more difficult task of building.
