At 3 p.m. on December, 1st, a feedback meeting was held by the panal evaluating the quality of education on Advanced Mathematics of the provincial colleges and universities at Conference Room Ⅱ, located on 17th floor of the new Main Building of HUST. Experts of the evaluation working team from Heilongjiang provincial Department of Education, HUST’s Vice President Meng Dawei, Director of Academic Affairs Office Ge Baojun, Vice Director Song Qingkun, Dean of School of Applied Sciences Cui Yun’an, Party Secretary Yin Jinghua, Associate Dean Cao Yijiang, Vice Party Secretary Deng Caixia and some teachers from Faculty of Applied Mathematics and other faculties attended the meeting.

Prof. Liu Shaowu, head of the panal and vice president of Suihua College, hosted this meeting. Firstly, Prof. Liu Shaowu, on behalf of the panal, declared the feedback advice of the evaluation on Advanced Mathematics. Through the two-day inspection, the panal have highly affirmed and evaluated the quality of education on Advanced Mathematics of our university from six aspects, and unanimously agreed that based on our location of running the university and the objective of students cultivation, HUST have made notable progress on furthering the reforms in a series of courses of Advanced Mathematics, and our quality of education on Advanced Mathematics is taking the leading position among provincial colleges and universities. The panal emphasized that HUST’s dynamic integration of discipline construction, specialty construction and curriculum construction of Advanced Mathematics, together with the mode of fostering students in accordance with their sorts and teaching in accordance with their levels, has been a brand new exploration to the educational reforms of Advanced Mathematics with distinct features. In the meanwhile, the panal also put forward valuable advice and suggestions.

Vice President Meng Dawei delivered a speech on behalf of HUST. In the first place, he thanked the panal who have spoken highly of our teaching work on Advanced Mathematics, and their two-day hard work. He expressed that the serious-minded attitudes toward work and the professional dedication of the panal deserved learning by all the teachers and students of HUST. Last but not the least, Vice President Meng said that the advice and suggestions raised by the panal were both correct and to the point, which we would definitely accepted modestly and reformed positively in order to keep improving our quality of education on Advanced Mathematics.
