On December 16th, invited by HUST, the president Miroslav Maslan and the vice president Vladislav Daniel from Palacky University in Czech had a friendly visit to our university.
Built in 1573, the Palacky University has a history of more than 400 years, being one of the oldest universities in Czech. There are 8 departments, 3000 teaching staff and 24000 students, among which are 1800 overseas students.
On the afternoon of December 16th, President Li Dayong and Vice President Zhao Hong met the delegation. During the talk, President Li Dayong first welcomed their visit and briefly introduced the university history, personnel training and the situation of international cooperation and exchange. He expressed that the Palacky University, with a long history, bears many majors related with our university, at the same time, he hopes that the two parts can strengthen the ties and understand thoroughly, have a win-win cooperation and promote the mutual development of the two universities.
President Miroslav Maslan introduced the developing history, discipline construction and the international cooperation and exchange in their university. He hoped that the two universities could cooperate in many aspects.
Vice President Zhao Hong introduced the features of our disciplines, hoping we could cooperate with their university in the field of application technology. President Miroslav and Vice President Vladislav Daniel visited the east campus and south campus.
