On July 10th, President Li Dayong hosted the conference on the construction of the apartment of the staff to understand the problem and difficulty in the constructing stage. Vice President Wei Xinlao, Vice President Meng Shangjiu, Vice President Guo Erjun, the staff in the constructing group, and the Director of the Finance Department Ji Donghai attended the conference. The conference reviewed the past work and laid a solid foundation for the work in the next stage.
To ameliorate the housing condition of the staff, the university gives priority to the construction of the apartment. The project was initiated in 2005. After the incessant work of the relevant leaders and staff, the project was approved in 2011 by the government. In this April, the removal of the resident was accomplished. On July 7th, the land was finally assigned to HUST.
The relevant staff reported the working process, schedule and the cooperation with Liuhe Group, the removal work, the entire design, the bid, and the fund allocation in detail. They exchanged opinion on the construction. Wei Xinlao, Meng Shangjiu and Guo Erjun provided their guidance towards the work. All the relevant staff promised that they would spare every effort to fulfill their tasks.
Based on the discussion, Li Dayong concluded the conference. He pointed out that the conference reviewed the preparation of the project in detail. The recent progress derived from the incessant effort of the working staff. Meanwhile, through the discussion, the following aspects are supposed to be strengthened---the structure of the organization, the operating system and the publication of the information. He also pointed out that the constructing project provided a platform for the talent to display their ability. He hoped that the project could meet the expectation of the staff.
