At the invitation of our University, delegations of Technical University of Sofia in Bulgaria, State University of Technology of Belarus and Russian National Novosibirsk University of Technology visited our university from June 14th to 19th.

To promote cooperation and exchanges and increase mutual understanding, we invited Professor Valeri Mladenov vice president of Technical University of Sofia and Professor Ivan Momtchev Dean of French institute of this university; Director of Chemical Measurement Department of Physical-Chemical Research Institute of State University of Technology of Belarus Professor Uladzimir Yahorau; Director of Power System Department Professor Alexander Fishov and the Vice-Professor Alexander Baranov in Physical Department of Russian National Novosibirsk University of Technology during the session of Harbin International Economic and Trade Fair.

President Li Dayong held meetings with the delegations from these universities respectively in the morning on June 17th. In the meeting, President Li introduced latest teaching and scientific research situation of our university and reached consensus on scientific research, exchanges of teachers and students with these friendly universities. President Li also expressed that we hope to strengthen cooperation in the fields of education and scientific research, in the mean time to promote the cooperation process, achieving substantive results through the visit.

During the visit, Professor Valeri Mladenov and Professor Alexander Fishov gave the academic reports in Measuring Technology and Communication Engineering Institute. Professor Ivan Momtchev gave an academic lecture in Computer Science and Technology Institute. Professor Uladzimir Yahorau and Vice-Professor Alexander Baranov gave the academic reports in Applied Science Institute respectively.

Through the talks, we deepened the understanding on teaching and researching with these universities and reached cooperation consensus on the common interests. Professor Alexander Fishov Director of Power System Department of Russian National Novosibirsk University of Technology achieved cooperation protocol with our university and our cooperation partner Harbin Research Institute of Electrical Instrumentation. These three parties decided to expand cooperation in realizing highly intelligent power grid and signed the tri-party cooperation agreement. Professor Valeri Mladenov vice president of Technical University of Sofia signed an academic cooperation agreement with Measuring Technology and Communication Engineering Institute. Vice-Professor Alexander Baranov of Physical Department of Russian National Novosibirsk University of Technology signed a project cooperation agreement with Applied Science Institute.

The meeting was accompanied by the General-Director of International cooperation and exchanges Department Xi Zhaohui, Dean of Applied Science Institute Wang Junming, Vice-Dean of Measuring Technology and Communication Engineering Institute Tong Ziquan, Vice-Dean of Computer Science and Technology Institute Sun Guanglu and Shao Yang of International Cooperation and Exchanges Department.
