On February 18,Research on Ideological and Political Educationsponsored by ouruniversity received a notification from the Centre of Chinese Academy of Social Science. The notice went as follows: “Honored to inform your periodical has been included asCSSCI（2014-2015）Extended Edition. For quite some time, yourperiodicalhelps and supports CSSCI to construct and develop. We appreciate this and expect to have more opportunities to serve you. We’re expecting your constructive suggestions and opinions. Based on the demand of the CSSCI database standardization construction, we are prospecting your edition attach more importance to the standardability and integrity of documental information and citation information. We cordially invite you to provide paper periodical and electronic edition data in the next two years for putting into database in time.”
On December 20, 2013, it was reported that the Assessment Centre of Chinese Social Science Research issued “The Notification on CSSCI Periodicals and Collected Papers(2014-2015)” based on working routine and selecting measure on CSSCI periodicals which were decided by the Tenth Conference of Chinese Social Science Citation Index Steering Committee, and published the selected CSSCI periodicals and collected papers (2014-2015) to the society. There are 533 CSSCI periodicals (2014-2015), 189 extended editions and 145 collected papers.Research on Ideological and Political Educationwhich is sponsored by ouruniversity is selected by the CSSCI extended edition (2014-2015).
CSSCI which follows the bibliometric rules is the national and Ministry of Education’s key subject with key scientific and technological difficulties to be tackled. According to the total citation frequency of each subject periodical and the quoted factor of influence and its weighted value data, CSSCI adopts quantitative and qualitative measure to evaluate the CSSCI periodical candidates and select the periodicals with high technicality and normative edition as source periodicals in every two years.
For years,Research on Ideological and Political Educationlays emphasis on the promotion of its quality; persists on the concept of publication on serving for disciplinary development, constructing communication platform and creating boutique periodical; strictly enforces national standards and editorial criterion; continuously promotes the factors of influence and rate of reprint; receives the good reputation from periodical and academic world. This periodical was selected as “top 100 social science periodicals of nationwide colleges and universities” in 2010.
