With simple clothing and neat hair, everyday from early in the morning to late at night, he was busy all day along and he looked special and respectable. He is Geng Jiajie, a common college student in Class 4, Grade 2010, Art Design major of Art School of Rongcheng Compus. With the strong confidence and unremitting efforts, he constantly struggled towards his dream, interpreting a period of extraordinary life in university by his persistence and efforts.

Different from other children at birth, Geng Jiajie didn’t have left arm and right leg, and for the right hand, he only had thumb and middle finger. Due to the body defect, his parents were worried that he would be depressed when he grew up. However, what Geng Jiajie though was he should be strong and optimistic and would not become his parents’ burden because of his physical inconvenience.

During college, Geng Jiajie joined Communist Party of China gloriously and won the school and national motivational scholarships by his excellent performances.

In August 2012, Geng Jiajie and his classmates established an art design studio. Talking about the original intention of founding the studio, Geng Jiajie said that initially, he wanted to learn some design skills, but there was no one he could turn to for learning. With high self-esteem, he determined to learn these techniques by himself and founded his own studio. Besides earning some money to support the daily life through doing some work outside the school, more importantly, he would like to share some relevant design thoughts and skills, helping the students to broaden the way to learn. Before graduation, by virtue of the tireless efforts during his college, Geng Jiajie was employed as an interior designer in a real estate company successfully, having a promising future ahead.

Without wind or rain, there would not be the fragrance of fruits; without biting wind, there would not be the toughness of pines; without the honing of the darkness, there would not be the glare of the pearl. In the past years, no matter how hard the life was, Geng Jiajie would never stop advancing forward. Rough life did not devastate his confidence and iron will. He lit up hope with a strong mind, driving away the fog of life, treading out a sunny path to the happiness.
