Recently the Ministry of Education published the Notice of Record and Examination Result of University Majors for 2013(No. 1 in 2014). Three majors are newly added in our university disciplines: public art, digital media art and commercial English.
The number of our university majors arrives at 59, covering 8 disciplines which are technology, science, management, economics, literature, law, philosophy and art. Among these 59 majors, there are 8 national first class majors, 19 provincial key majors, 1 national comprehensive reform pilot major and 6 provincial comprehensive reform pilot majors.
Harbin University of Science and Technology always pays much attention to the undergraduate major construction. During the 12thFive Year Plan period, our university increases the educational fund, strengthens the construction of undergraduate majors and attaches importance to the major features. All the majors should carry on the mission of fostering the talents, further the educational reform and improve the quality of talents.
