Li Yongfeng, a student from the Institute of Civil Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering Grade 2013 Class 3, was diagnosed with leukemia last year. Her poor family was hit heavily by the diagnosis. The girl came from Juye County in Shandong. Her mother was too sick to work, and her father, as the only breadwinner, worked hard to support the family. Moreover, her brother was still in high school and needed a lot of money. In order to ease the burden, the girl did part-time jobs. Besides, she studied hard, took part in all kinds of activities, and became an excellent student for her teachers, a good friend for her classmates.
Nowadays, Li Yongfeng was receiving chemotherapy in Cancer Center of Qilu Hospital, Shandong University. It was said that she could be cured through chemotherapy and the following nursing, however, the huge cost of treatment became an obstacle for her. In order to save her, her parents used up all their money. Her father had to take care of her in stead of working. Without working, her parents had no choice but to borrow money from their relatives and friends. But they still could not raise enough money to save their daughter.
The illness was pitiless, but the society was full of love. After hearing the situation, the whole society took part in the relay race the help the girl.
Classmates Shared Hardships
Friendship is the umbrella for you in the rainy day. Friendship is the light in the cold winter night. Friendship is the gentle wind to comfort your injured heart. Friendship is also a pure handkerchief to dry your tears.
In September 2013, Li Yongfeng came to Rongcheng College. During the following one year and a half, she got to know lots of classmates. They experienced the wonderful beginning of the college life, improved themselves through the military training, and left a good memory on campus. They were not only classmates but also brothers and sisters. After knowing the situation of Li Yongfeng, classmates from Youth League General Branch from Department of Architectural Engineering and Youth Volunteer Association suggested to contribute to Li Yongfeng. No matter how much was the contribution, limitless love was sent to the poor family.
