Educational Development Foundation Holds Two 2015 Alumni Scholarship Ceremonies

On the afternoon of January 7th, 2015 Alumni Self-Improvement Scholarship and Grass Scholarship Awarding Ceremony were held in the Second Conference Room in the New Teaching Building. Those who attended the ceremony were: Vice President of HUST and Executive Vice President of Educational Development Foundation Yang Chun, the Chief Accountant and vice President of Educational Development Foundation Ji Donghai, Deputy Director of Enrollment and Employment Office, Chief of Alumni Office and General Secretary of Educational Development Foundation Wang Qi, Alumni Association Consultant and Executive of Foundation Liu Jun, Deputy Party Secretary from School of Mechanical Power Engineering Tan Shixin, Deputy Party Secretary from School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Yang Fang, Deputy Party Secretary from School of Automation Xu Yan, Deputy Party Secretary from School of Computer Science and Technology Dai Xiangzhu, Deputy Party Secretary from School of Measurement and Control Technology and Communication Engineering Liu Kunyan, Deputy Party Secretary from School of Foreign Languages Zhou Xiaoli. They awarded the prizes to the students who got the awards.

At the ceremony, Vice President of HUST Yang Chun expressed the congratulations and encouragement to the students on behalf of the university and alumni. Zhang Jianfeng, from the Office of Educational Development Foundation, reported the establishment of Alumni Self-Improvement Scholarship and Grass Scholarship, and the selection process and results in 2005. The leaders and teachers present gave the award certificates and bonuses to the students.

Alumni Self-Improvement Scholarship was established and funded by Zhang Ming in 2013. Zhang Ming was a Grade-79 graduate majoring in Automation Control. Grass Scholarship was established by Liu Boli and Educational Development Foundation. Liu Boli was a Grade-88 graduate majoring in Japanese. 2015 Alumni Self-Improvement Scholarship and Grass Scholarship started on Nov. 20th, 2015. The selection of scholarship lasted for almost one month, involving three grades including sophomores, juniors and seniors.
