On December 1, 2015, the proposed awarded projects of 2015 outstanding achievements prize of scientific research of institutions of higher education (science and technology) were publicized (for a month) by Technology Development Center of the Ministry of Education. Through the checking of the committee for outstanding achievements prize of scientific research of institutions of higher education (science and technology) and the approval of the leaders of the Ministry of Education, 310 projects were awarded the prizes. Recommended by HUST and collaborated by Xu Jiazhong, You Bo, Zeng Tao and Professor Liu Lizhu, the project “Composite Material Shell Hot Core Winding Technology and Its Manufacturing Equipment” won 2ndprize in promotion class of science and technology progress award. The science and technology progress award of the Ministry of Education (including promotion class and popular science class) honors the individuals and units that made creative contributions to application and promotion of advanced scientific and technical achievements and accomplishment of significant scientific and technical construction, plan, projects and other aspects, or made great contributions to science popularization.
Project leader Professor Xu Jiazhong (Doctoral Tutor) makes research on mechanical and electrical integration and motion control technology, and composites molding process and equipment. He is the Director of China Society of Composite Materials, national 863 Project evaluation expert, and the Executive Deputy Director of Composite Material Shell Molding Technology Engineering Research Center of Provincial Education Department. He took over 11 projects including the National Natural Science Foundation, the Excellent Talents of Provincial Department of Education, Provincial Natural Science Foundation, China Postdoctoral Fund, the Municipal Outstanding Subject Leader and other projects, took part in national Natural Fund Key Project, 863 Project and 973 Project, published 43 papers and was awarded the honorary titles of “Outstanding Communist Party Member”, “Model Work” and “Ethics Advanced Individual of Institutions of Higher Learning” by College Working Committee of Heilongjiang Provincial Party Committee and Heilongjiang Department of Education.
