The delegation from US Auburn University at Montgomery visited Harbin University of Science and Technology on March 9, 2016. Invited by our university, the delegation members are Doctor Keivan Deravi who is the principal assistant of US Auburn University at Montgomery and dean of Public Policy and Justice School, Doctor Eric Yang who is the Director of East Asian Affairs Office and dean of Confucius College, and Ms. Alice Jia who is the Student Affairs Coordinator.

In the morning on March 9, vice-president of HUST Fang Wenbin met the delegation at the second conference room in the main teaching building. Vice-president Fang first expressed the warm welcome to the delegation from US Auburn University at Montgomery, then he introduced the basic situation in our university. He expressed that we may exert our effort to cooperate with the European and American universities to improve our international development. We hope to cooperate with Auburn University at Montgomery in the aspect of teachers, students and scientific cooperation. Doctor Keivan Deravi, who is the principal assistant of US Auburn University at Montgomery and dean of Public Policy and Justice School, appreciated the invitation and warm reception from our university. He then introduced the basic situation of US Auburn University at Montgomery. He hoped to build the cooperative relationship with our university and share resources in many fields.

Luo Xiaoguang, the dean of Economics School, Qi Liangqun, the dean of Management School, and Qin Yadong, the dean of Law School discussed the cooperation possibilities with the US party. The director from International Cooperation and Communication Office, Xi Zhaohui, introduced the cooperation situation and over-viewed student exchange projects. The two parties planned to cooperate in the teachers visiting, students exchange and scientific research.

In the afternoon on March 9th, the delegation had a lecture at the Management School. Doctor Keivan Deravi gave the brief introduction about the Auburn University at Montgomery. The students present asked questions about the application procedures.
