Recently, the awarding ceremony for the 7 Talent Team Cup National Software and Information Technology Professional Competition was held in Peking University. Our students won the first prize among 35 thousands candidates from nearly 1200 universities.
Forty-seven students in HUST who won the first prize in the provincial competition had the qualification to take part in the national finals and compete with more than 3,000 students from over 600 universities. Thirty-nine students took part in the software competition led by Professor Yu Bo and Ji Ying, and eight students took part in the electronics competition led by Professor Gao Junfeng and Chen Cai. After the fierce competition, 32 students from our university won prizes in the competition. There are 2 first prize, 12 second prize and 12 third prize in software competition, and 2 second prize and 4 third prize in electronics competition. Our university became the only university in Heilongjiang Province to have got the Winning University in Software. Wu Di from Software Engineering won the national first prize in Java Software Development Team B, which is the best ranking in these seven years, and Peng Yilei from Network Engineering won the first prize in C/C++ programming Team B, which is the best score for the female students in our university.
Talent Team Cup National Software and Information Technology Professional Competition was held by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Personnel Exchange Center and National College Students Information Consultation and Employment Guidance Center in Ministry of Education.
The campus competition was held by Dean’s Office and sponsored by Software School, lasting more than seven months from October 2015. The teacher group made detailed plan and arrangement and students overcame difficulties to make great achievements.
This competition improves the students’ innovation consciousness and practical ability. The teachers and students summarized the experience after the competition and try to make better achievements in the future.
