A Soaring HUST

Dated back as early as 1950, HUST consisted originally of three different higher educational institutions affiliated to the former  Ministry of Machinery Industry, i.e., Harbin University of Science and Technology, Harbin Institute of Electrical Technology and Harbin Higher Industrial Vocational College, which amalgamated into today’s HUST in 1995, following the tide of Chinese educational reform, with CAS & CAE Academician Wang Daheng, the “Father of Chinese Optics” as well as “Two Bombs and One Satellite Merit Medal” winner, as her honorary president.
