Hosted by the Provincial Collegiate Athletic Associationand undertaken by the Harbin University of Commerce, the firstProvincial Universities’ Badminton Match was held on the North Campus ofHarbin University of Commerce from 28^thto 30^th, Oct. There were altogether 16 teams that competed in this three-day match. The Teachers’ Badminton Association of our university entrusted by the Trade Union organized the members to participate in the individual and team competitions.

In the team competition, team one and team two of our university struggled hard and finished second and fifth respectively.

In the individual competition, the players of our university made persistent efforts so that Yang Gang placed third in the men’s singles, Chu Chunyan and Song Ying placed third in the women’s doubles, Li Weidong and Wang Shurui placed fifth in the mixed doubles and Guo Lei and Yan Shi placed fifth in the men’s doubles.

All the players in this match embodied a sense of collective honor and team spirit, not only did they show the spiritual characteristics to struggle, but also they had better exchange with the other universities. (Photos by Hu Haitao)
