On July 26, the inaugural meeting of HUST Alumni Association East China Branch of Japanese Major was held sucessfully in Wumao Hotel ShangHai. HUST Alumni Association Headquarter sent a letter of congratulations to the foundation of the branch and Vice Dean Guo Hong, Associate Director to the Dean and Head of Japanese Department Xu Yingdong, Head of Korean Department and Deputy Head of Japanese Department Quan Jingji, Wang Yongxin from HUST Alumni Association Headquarter, Head of HUST Alumni Association Shanghai Branch Yu Chonggang, Deputy Director and Secretary General of Alumni Association Guangzhou Branch Luo Xianxin, Secretary General of Alumni Association Shanghai Branch Song Ping, Deputy Secretary General of Alumni Association Shanghai Branch Yang Cuibo and more than 80 alumni of the Japanese Major of HUST in East China Region attended the meeting.

As scheduled, regulations and agenda were passed and the committee members were elected on the meeting. Li Hengxiang (Grade 86 of Japanese Major) was elected as Head of the Association, Zhang Xuechen (Grade 87 of Japanese Major) and Xu Zheng (Grade 87 of Japanese Major)as Standing Deputy Head of the Association, Yan Wei(Grade 90 of Japanese Major), Wang Xiaohong (Grade 90 of Japanese Major), Fan Xiaoping(Grade 97 of Japanese Major), and Zhou Shuai (Grade 01 of Japanese Major) as Deputy Head of the Association and Tian Lei (Grade 89 of Japanese Major) as Secratary General.

At the opening ceremony, Wang Yongxin announced the approval document “On the Agreement of the Foundation of HUST Alumni Association East China Branch of Japanese Major”, Xu Yingdong read the letter of congradulations from HUST Alumni Association Headquarter and sent best regards to the alumni working and living in East China Region. After expressing her congratulations, Guo Hong emphasized her great thanks to the preparatory committee for their hard work to make all this possible. She proposed that the alumni should strengthen ties and cooperation with the help of the alumni association as a bridge so as to make greater contributions to the development of their alma mater. Yu Chonggang and Luo Xianxin expressed their congratulations as well and made introductions to their alumni association branches respectively. They hoped that they would like to strengthen ties and cooperation with each other and other sister alumni associations for the bright future of the alumni affairs.

The alumni had a warm and friendly conversation with the teachers from the alma mater at the meeting.

Secratary General Tian Lei hosted the meeting
