At 14:30 on August 11, sponsored by Harbin Science and Technology Bureau, organized by Harbin University of Science and Technology,the meeting of promotion and cooperation matchmaking on the project of Ukraine National Academy of Sciences was held in Conference Room II of the Main Building. Guan Shaonan, Deputy Director of Harbin science and Technology Bureau and Director of International Cooperation and Russian Science and Technology, Wu Mingyang, Director of School Science and Technology Bureau, Zhang Ying, Deputy Director of School Science and Technology Bureau, Dong Limin, Vice President of Materials Institute, Chang Ying, Vice President of Foreign Languages Institute, teachers of Materials College, some teachers and graduate students who had the experiences to study in Russian and Belarus attended the meeting. The teacher Wang Huan of Foreign Language Institute was appointed as a translator.

On behalf of the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, deputy director Guan Shaonan pointed out that this event has great significance to further promote the scientific and technological cooperation, the implementation of the project, the transformation of results and the exchange of talents, and deepen the cooperation of science and technology between China and Ukraine, he also fully appreciate the preparatory work and thank the staff for their hard work. Director Wu Mingyang expressed welcome to the two Ukrainian experts and great gratitude to Harbin Science and Technology Bureau for the trust to science and technology department and great support to the science and technology work of our school. They also communicated about the 3D printing titanium alloy powder preparation, wire preparation and other technologies.

Dr. Alexander Shevchenko ,who is the president of the Institute of black metallurgy National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, presented the main directions of basic and applied research of the Institute, introduced the production of profiles rolling, heat treatment technology, profiled thermo-mechanical hardening process, plate heat machining Technology, screw profile production technology, heat-resistant steel manufacturing technology. Dr. Alexei Melkulov which is the senior ironworker introduced high-quality steel production and processing technology, blast furnace ironmaking technology, blast furnace slag automatic control technology, cast iron desulfurization technology, double-layer nozzle mixed injection process, low-voltage metal smelting technology.

Later, the two experts carried out in-depth communication with the teachers of our university over the scientific issues and technological cooperation matters that both parties are concerned with. The academic atmosphere of the conference venue was very energetic and the response was enthusiastic. Both parties expressed strong interest in carrying out further in-depth cooperation. The event will strongly promote the cooperative relationship between our university and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine,It will further facilitate the establishment of a platform for connection, communication and cooperation, and achievements of joint development.
