This year, the Ministry of Education, the Department of Science and Technology and the Department of Education of Heilongjiang Province have successively published the results of the evaluation of scientific research platforms. Up till now, HUST has added seven projects for the building of scientific research platforms at the provincial and ministerial levels, including one key laboratory of the Ministry of Education, three key laboratories of Heilongjiang Province, one technological innovation center of Heilongjiang Province and two collaborative innovation centers of Heilongjiang Province. The running of platform is an essential index to evaluate and assess the related discipline, aiming to better cultivate talents, promote output of scientific and technological achievements and build up scientific research teams. Meanwhile, it plays a part in promoting the construction of high-level universities and academic disciplines (Double First-Class).
The Ministry of Education key laboratory of Advanced Manufacturing and Intelligent Technology is led by the Institute of Mechanical and Power Engineering, which is jointly established by the Institute of Materials Science and Engineering, the Institute of Automation, the Institute of Architectural Engineering and other related disciplines.
The key laboratory for optimizing control and intelligent analysis of complex systems in Heilongjiang Province is applied for by the College of Science, relying on the construction of first-level discipline mathematics; the key laboratory for intelligent information processing and application in Heilongjiang Province is led by the Institute of Computer Science and Technology, and is dependent on the construction of first-level discipline computer science and technology. The key laboratory of modification of light metal materials and green forming technology in Heilongjiang Province is led by the Institute of Materials Science and Engineering, depending on the construction of first-level discipline materials science and engineering. The provincial key laboratories have been approved to be constructed, which will play an active role in improving the basic research level of relevant disciplines and the combination with the relevant industries of our province.
Heilongjiang Innovation Center of High-efficiency Composite Material Molding and Intelligent Equipment Technology is based on Collaborative Innovation Center of High-efficiency Composite Material Molding and Intelligent Equipment of Harbin University of Science and Technology, declared by the Institute of Automation, the Institute of Materials Science and Engineering, and the Institute of Chemistry and Environment Engineering in 2018, and approved by the provincial technical innovation center. The center will play a positive role in the basic research and application research in the field of composite materials.
Heilongjiang Collaborative Innovation Center of Advanced Processing and High-end Equipment Manufacturing Technology and Heilongjiang Collaborative Innovation Center of Graphite-Graphene Application Technology were upgraded by our School Collaborative Innovation Center in 2014 and 2016 respectively. These innovation centers will promote the development of the relevant disciplines in production, learning, research and use of collaborative innovation, and play an active role in promoting disciplines, talent training and introduction.
