According to the evaluation results of 2019 national natural science foundation of China (NSFC), a total of 30 projects have been funded by NSFC, with a total of 14.03 million yuan in direct funding, which is slightly higher than that of 2018. The funded projects are distributed in 4 science divisions, including 20 projects in engineering and materials science, 5 projects in mathematical science, 3 projects in information science, 1 project in management science and 1 project in chemical science. In terms of project categories, there were 19 general projects and 11 youth science foundation projects, accounting for 63.33% of the total projects.

Our university, as a cooperative unit, has obtained a key project funding from the national natural science foundation of China (NSF). This project was jointly declared byShiBaosen, a distinguished professor of our university, as the chief scientist, andUSTCas the supporting unit, with a direct funding of 3.2 million yuan.
