On the afternoon of November 12th, the promotion event presenting Heilongjiang Province was held at the Blue Room by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. With the theme of “China in the New Era: Heilongjiang, A New Path to Revitalization in Partnership with the World ", the event attracted the attention of mainstream media in the whole country and even in the world.

Six commentators introduced the exhibition in the Heilongjiang Province Exhibition Hall. Among them, Liu Chang, a 2018 MA graduate student from English Major, School of Foreign Languages, HUST, stands out from numerous candidates and became one of the six commentators. She is responsible for explaining agriculture in Heilongjiang Province, the most crucial area for the Province. Before the event, Liu Chang developed relevant expertise and meticulously revised the translation. During the promotion, she earnestly devoted herself to the work. Her graceful manner and fluent spoken English were highly appreciated by the on-site personnel and the envoys from various countries.

On November 3rd, 2018 Chinese Bridge for American Principals, sponsored by Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) and the College Board, was held in Beijing. This year, education departments of Heilongjiang, Tianjin, Shandong, Guangdong, Henan, and Chongqing, are responsible for receiving the delegations.

At the invitation of Heilongjiang Education Center for International Exchange, Xu Dan, teacher from School of Foreign Languages, is one of the team leaders of Heilongjiang Province. Her job involves coordinating and communicating with the members of the delegation, and participating in the delegation's visit to Harbin. In addition, as an English interpreter, she is responsible for conference interpretation and liaison interpretation. The visit of American principals to China came to a successful conclusion on November 11th, and her work was highly praised by the leaders of Heilongjiang Education Department and delegates of American Principals.
