From May 18 to May 20, 2018, the 13^thHeilongjiang Collegiate Programming Contest and the 12th Northeast China Collegiate Programming Contest were held in HUST grandly. On behalf of the organization committees respectively, Vice President Liu Shenghui and Director of Office of Academic Affairs Song Qingkun delivered the welcome speeches and declared open of the contests. Deputy Director of Heilongjiang Computer Society Yin Guisheng and Deputy Director Hu Wen made speeches representing the Computer Societies of four northeastern provinces. Director of School of Computer Science Chen Deyun, Secretary of Party Committee of School of Computer Science Zhang Dianlong, and Chairman of the Executive Board of China Collegiate Programming Contest Sun Dalie attended the opening and closing ceremonies and presented the prizes to the winners.

188 teams of 31 colleges and universities and high schools in and out of the province participated in this year’s Heilongjiang Collegiate Programming Contest. Among 147 formal teams, 13 teams got the-1^st-Prizes, 27 the-2^nd-Prizes and 40 the-3^rd-Prizes. As for HUST, we got the excellent result of 3 the-1^st-Prizes, 7 the-2^nd-Prizes and 13 the-3^rd-Prizes.

194 teams of 56 national colleges and universities and high schools participated in this year’s Collegiate Programming Contest of Northeast China. Among 179 formal teams, 19 teams got the-1^st-Prizes, 35 the-2^nd-Prizes and 54 the-3^rd-Prizes. As for HUST, we got the good result of 1 the-1^st-Prize, 6 the-2^nd-Prizes and 1 the-3^rd-Prize.

The Students from School of Computer Science gave thevoluntary service to this contest; Diet Service Center of Logistics Group, the School Hospital and other departments closely coordinated to ensure the smooth operation of this activity.Good style and features of the teachers and students in our school, and excellent organization and services are sung highly of by the participants.
