On the afternoon of Dec 17, in Conference Room II of HUST’s New Teaching Building, West Campus, a strategic cooperation framework agreement was signed between HUST and the delegation led by Zhang Hongchun, Mayor of Tinghu District, Yancheng, Jiangsu Province.

The signing ceremony was hosted by HUST’s Vice President Guo Erjun, attended by HUST’s President Li Dayong, General Branch Party Secretary Feng Wanli from School of Law, Vice Director Zhang Hui from Department of Science & Technology, as well as Chairman Zhou Guanggang from a third party, Heilongjiang Liaoyuankeji Co. Ltd., which signed agreement with HUST and Tinghu, too.

President Li extended his sincere welcome on behalf of HUST to the delegation, and introduced the basics of HUST. He appreciated highly the geographical and geoeconomic advantages of Yancheng, as well as the cooperation basis with HUST in production, learning and studying, which, he hoped, could be combined with HUST’s advantages of professional disciplines and talent training better, so as to explore a new way for universities to serve the development of regional economy.

Mayor Zhang also introduced the recent development in the economy of Tinghu and their plan in the future. He spoke highly of HUST’s great advantage in talent resources and believed in a promising cooperation prospect for both parts.

After the signing ceremony, all attendees took photos together and made further communications on the details of cooperation.
