On November 16, President Li Dayong in his office received Professor Mo Jiahao, AVP of Hong Kong Institute of Education, Dean of Liberal Arts College and Chair Professor of Yangtze River Scholar in Zhejiang University. Both sides exchanged views on the development trend of higher educational internationalization and international cooperation in running schools.
During the talk, Pres. Li Dayong pointed out that international cooperation in running schools, on the one hand, could continuously improve the university’s international reputation and popularity via the achievements made by teachers and students being sent abroad or to other universities; on the other hand, attract international students to pursue academic study in our university with wider cultural exchanges being brought about.
Pres. Li emphasized that international cooperation in running schools should be put into effect for teachers and students to share off-campus, even foreign educational resources. Meanwhile, considering the cooperative education program with Capilano College in Canada, he also introduced the development course and the current situation of our higher educational internationalization, and brought forward the prospect of international education and a long-term view of our international cooperation in running schools.
Prof. Mo Jiahao and Pres. Li Dayong has reached the consensus on higher educational internationalization and, in particular, expressed the hope that a wide exchange platform should be constructed through joint efforts.
