Young Teachers Association held Young Teachers Scientific Research Starting and Growing Symposium on Sept. 28th, aiming at helping young teachers participate and cooperate efficiently in scientific research and resolving their confusions and obstacles in the process of growth. Wei Xinlao, the vice president, Yang Chun, the union chairman, Huang Jisheng, Wu Mingyang, the deputy directors of Science and Technology Department, Gao Changyuan, the associate dean of the School of Management, Liu Lizhu, the associate dean of the School of Material Engineering, Chen Qingguo, the chairman of Young Teachers Association, Shan Lina, Xu Jiazhong, the vice-chairmen of Young Teachers Association, some directors of the Association and 64 young teachers from different schools attended the symposium hosted by Xu Jiazhong.

Union President Yang Chun delivered a speech on the symposium. Yang took young teachers as the main force and effective strength of the university construction, responsible for the university’s development into a high-standard one. Therefore, the substantial improvement of the young teachers’ capabilities of scientific research plays a key role in the development of our university.

Yang spoke highly of the meaningful activities which were held by the young teachers association since it was established, and hoped young teachers association can play a better role as a stage for the young teachers to show themselves, release their passion and stimulate their creativity.

Professor Chen Qingguo, the President of Young teachers association and the deputy dean of the electrical college, Professor Li Jingbo, from International Cultural Education College, both gave a report at the meeting.

Huang Jisheng and Wu Mingyang, deputy directors of Science and Technology Department, Gao Changyuan,associate dean of management department,Liu Lizhu, associate dean of School of Material Engineering, gave detailed answers to the young teachers questions. The vice President Wei Xinlao gave some valuable Suggestions to the young teachers.

Through this symposium, the young teachers felt the emphasis and support from the university, and at the same time they also realized what their responsibility was and what they had to burden. They promised to enhance their research ability and to make their own contribution to the make our university into a teaching and researching university of high level. (Photos by Yang Jianrui)
