On June 20th, accompanied by Director of Retired Staff Department Yang Shibin, General Manager of Rear-service Group Zhao Lingguo, and Director of Alumni Office Chen Hongbin, President of HUST and HUST Alumni Association Li Dayong and Vice-President Wu Junfeng respectively met Deputy Secretary of Qingdao Alumni Association Chen Aimin who graduated from the School of HUST and now is Chairman of Dingdao Henghua Engineering of Electronic Equipment Plant Limited Company.
Both President Li Dayong and Vice-President Wu Junfeng expressed their warm welcome to Deputy Secretary Chen Aimin for his coming, and extended their sincere appreciation for the efforts and hard work of Qingdao Alumni Association. President Li also conveyed greetings from all staff and students in HUST to President of Qingdao Alumni Association, and wished them a happy life and smooth work.
On behalf of Qingdao alumnus, Deputy Secretary Chen Aimin expressed heartfelt appreciation to President Li Dayong’s greeting and education he had received in the mother university for many years. Deputy Secretary Chen Aimin reported the current condition of Qingdao Alumni, his own business, and the intention to cooperate with HUST for integration of enterprises, universities and research institutes.
After hearing the report, President Li Dayong delightedly replied that alumni is not only a treasure of HUST but also an indispensable power for us to strive for top-ranking local univeristy of technology. When talking about cooperation with HUST for integration of enterprises, universities and research institutes, President Li hoped that alumni can make good use of the platform of Alumni Association to communicate with HUST, achieve wide cooperation, and promote resource sharing, so as to facilitate a win-win relationship between alumni and HUST. When talking about the development of Rongcheng Institute, President Li appreciated Chen Aimin as the Deputy Secretary of Qingdao Alumni for his contribution to the development of Rongcheng Institute, and expected the further effort he will make for the development of both Rongcheng Institute and HUST.
