The dean of School of Software Liu Shenghui and the school’s secretary of the Party committee Gao Xiujiang attended the 10th China International Software and Information Service Fair (CISIS) held in Da Lian from June 15 to 18. CISIS is the only national-level software and information service fair permitted to be held by the State Council. Since its foundation in 2003, CISIS has become “The Top Chinese Software Exhibition”, which enjoys the highest specifications, the largest scale, the best effectiveness in China, and enjoys a high international reputation as well. On June 16, Liu Shenghui, Dean of the Software School was invited to one of the five categories of the conference—2012 IT Talent Education and Training Summit. On the theme of “Coordination, Innovation, and Sustainable Realization of Chinese IT Talent Competitiveness”, in combination with National Medium and Long-term Science and Technology Development Plan, National Medium and Long-term Educational Reform and Development Program(2010－2020), Several Opinions on Comprehensive Improvement of the Quality of Higher Education, and The 2011 Plan, the forum explores and discusses the innovation mode and sustainable motivation of IT talents development adaptable to the industrial and economic development in today’s complex economic environment
2012 IT Talent Education and Training Summit especially invited Liu Jiren, Neusoft Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, concurrently Neusoft Core Road Education Information Technology Limited Company Chairman, Guo Xin, Cloud Era of Intelligence Science and Technology Limited Company Chairman, and other famous entrepreneurs. In the forum, Lu Wei, deputy director of the MOE Demonstrating Software Institute Construction Office, deans from 37 national-level demonstrating software institutes and some provincial software institutes talked about IT talent cultivation strategies. The forum was hosted by Wen Tao, President of Da Lian Neusoft Institute of Information.
In the forum, IT talent innovation mode was discussed by way of top dialogue and practice sharing among senior government leaders, domestic and foreign IT enterprise leaders, educational experts and scholars as well as representatives of teaching and research institutions. Liu Shenghui intelligently interacted with the attendees around the theme of “Who is Responsible for the Industrialized Talent Cultivation”, a subject having been paid close attention to in IT talent cultivation field. Liu Shenghui started from idea of reformation of talent cultivating system being the key to “Industrialized Talent Cultivation”, and reached the conclusion that the industrialized talent cultivation at the present stage was too broad, comprehensive, and not operational; there existed a disconnection between training plan and business needs; teachers lacked too much in industrial experience themselves. He proposed that enterprise dominant position requirements were the logical starting point to “Industrialized Talent Cultivation”, graduates’ team spirit and work attitude were the core of it, and specially stressed that the establishment of “Cooperative Teaching” mechanism was the key to it, and raised other opinions as well.
Talent being the core element to industrial software promotion, 2012 IT Talent Education and Training Summit, from the different perspectives of national policies, industrial software promotion, changes in demography, and development of mobile Internet, raises ideas of IT talent cultivation under the new situation of IT industry development, providing important reference to the cultivation of high-quality IT talents in future.
