Recently, at HUST’s invitation, delegations of Palacky University in Czech, the Technical University of Sofia in Bulgaria, and Novosibirsk State Technical University in Russia visited HUST.

In order to enhance mutual understanding, promote cooperation and exchange, HUST invited members of the delegations to give lectures, including Vit Vozenile, the vice president, and Ivo Frébort, the associate dean of the School of Natural Sciences, from Palacky University; Ivan Mladenov Kralov, the vice president, and Todorov Georgi Dimitrov, the associate dean of the school of Mechanical Engineering, from the Technical University of Sofia; Alexander I. Aliferov, the dean of General Electrical Engineering, and Vladimir K. Makukha, the dean of Electronic Devices, from Novosibirsk State Technical University.

Zhao Hong, the vice president of HUST, met with delegations of the three universities respectively. During the meeting, the two sides enhanced the understanding in aspects of teaching and research, and reached a consensus in the sci-tech cooperation, exchanges of teachers, and the cultivation of students. Vice president Zhao also expressed the wish to further seek appropriate technology to develop cooperation of industrialization projects, which will have a positive impact on exchanges between the two sides.

During the visit, Ivan Mladenov Kralov, the vice president, and Todorov Georgi Dimitrov, the associate dean of the school of Mechanical Engineering, from the Technical University of Sofia gave a talk to the School of Mechanical and Engineering Power, respectively. The two sides reached an academic exchanges and cooperation intention, which laid the foundation for future applications for sci-tech cooperation between the governments. Vit Vozenile, the vice president, and Ivo Frébort, the associate dean of the School of Natural Sciences, from Palacky University, made reports to the School of Computer Science, the School of Materials Science and Engineering, and the School of Applied Sciences, respectively. Additionally, they had a discussion with some teachers, and introduced their research to pursue the common interest of cooperation. Alexander I. Aliferov, the dean of General Electrical Engineering, and Vladimir K. Makukha, the dean of Electronic Devices, from Novosibirsk State Technical University gave lectures to the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and the School of Measurement-Control Technology and Communications Engineering, respectively.
