On January 14, Provincial Counselor Appointing Ceremony was held in Building Eight at Huangyuancun Hotel. General Secretary Li Xiangang presided it, Vice Governor Yu Shayan read out the Appointment Notification, and Governor Lu Hao presented the certificates to the five new provincial counselors respectively: Gao Jun, Yu Xiaodong, Qu Wei, Qiu Yuquan, and Sun Heyi.
Governor Lu Hao made an important speech at the ceremony: “Counselor System is a significant mechanism established by the older generation of revolutionaries as Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai. This system represents the highest level of governmental consultation. I had further insight into the newly-appointed counselors only to find out that they have rich work experience and good theoretical research proficiency, which reflect the ideological line and the inherent requirement of combining theory with practice of the CPC. I hope you counselors adhere to the spiritual character of reality instead of supervisors or books, make investigation, and actively offer advises and suggestions around major issues, so as to bring greater achievements to our province and better developments to our career.
