HUST Students Win 2nd National Prize in Mitsubishi Electric Cup National Electric and Automation Contest

Organized by Electrical Engineering Teaching Advisory Board for Higher Education under the Ministry of Education and Chinese Association of Automation, undertook by Southeast University, Mitsubishi Electric Automation (China) Ltd. and United Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, the 9thMitsubishi Electric Cup National Electric and Automation Contest for Higher Education Students came to a successful conclusion recently. In this contest, more than 60 teams from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Zhejiang University, Northeastern University, Southeast University and Nantong University compete together. After several months’ preparation and three days’ fierce competition, our university team instructed by Gao Hanying and Zhou Yongqin won the second national prize.

Our university has always been attaching importance to the extracurricular academic competitions, and all the leaders in the university think highly of contests. For this contest, our university students, supported by the dean’s office, College of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and other colleges, instructed by professor Gao Hanying, Zhou Yongqin, Liu Duanzeng, designed the Multi-functional Mode Electric Energy Conversion Device. The students are seniors from College of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, who are Chen Ji, Dong Guanjie and Xie Yi.
